Commerce Secretary John Bryson Resigns

Secretary of Commerce John Bryson has resigned from his post. Secretary Bryson recently had a seizure, which lead to two hit-and-runs in Los Angeles. Secretary Bryson said in a online letter to employees that we are in a critical time for business, and he doesn’t want to be a distraction. Dr. Rebecca Blank, who was previously Acting Secretary after Gary Locke left, will now be Acting Secretary. Whoever President Obama chooses will have to get pass a partisan and divided Senate for confirmation, and this will be President Obama’s third Commerce Secretary.
