Massachusetts U.S. Senate nominee Elizabeth Warren will be speaking at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte before former President Bill Clinton. President Clinton will be placing President Obama’s name in nomination. Elizabeth Warren is currently in a tight race against Sen. Scott Brown. Scott Brown was elected to finish out the term of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy. Elizabeth Warren is well-known for being the brains behind the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, that was part of the Dodd-Frank Act. The speaking role will be headlining and during primetime, and she and President Clinton will be speaking the day before President Obama’s acceptance speech. The day they are speaking is usually reserved for the running mate, but Vice President Joe Biden will be introducing President Obama the next day.
