Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont will be making a cameo appearance in The Dark Knight Rises, the latest in the Batman film series. Sen. Leahy is a lifelong fan of Batman, he wrote the foreword to the Dark Knight Archives. He also made cameo appearances in The Dark Knight, and in 1997’s Batman and Robin. He also voiced the Governor of the Utah Territory in the Batman animated series. Senator Leahy is the second longest serving Democrat in the Senate, and currently chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee.
