Meet the Group Trying to Defeat Hagel


The first ad is pro-Hagel, while the second ad is anti-Hagel. The second ad has been going since Chuck Hagel was announced, and is helped by its url being Now, any time an unknowing person goes to, they are hit by negative Chuck Hagel talking points. The url was a real catch for the group because it allows them to get higher in Google results. The website is owned by the Emergency Committee for Israel. This group also has a super PAC, but according to the Center for Responsive Politics, they haven’t spent any money. The website, however, does have some anti-Democratic media, including attack ads against President Obama and now-Senator Tammy Baldwin. The group also showed their leanings when one of their tweets talked about a President Romney in Jerusalem.
