5-4 Victory For Obama Administration

In a chaotic day, the entire Affordable Care Act was deemed constitutional and was upheld. The Supreme Court decided 5-4, with Chief Justice John Roberts being the swing vote, joining the majority. Most expected that Justice Anthony Kennedy would be the swing vote. Instead, Justice Kennedy joined the dissent. He was joined in dissent with Justices Alito, Scalia, and Thomas. Chief Justice Roberts was joined by Justices Kagan, Sotomayer, Ginsburg, and Brayer. With this legal obstacle out of the way, the law can be fully implemented.
