McMahon Wins Primary, To Face Chris Murphy In Connecticut

Linda McMahon, best known with her work with the WWE, has won her primary against former U.S. Representative Christopher Shays and will move on to the general election to replace retiring Independent Senator Joe Lieberman. Linda McMahon is now facing Rep. Chris Murphy. This is McMahon’s second attempt at the Senate, in 2010 she attempted to replace Sen. Chris Dodd, but lost to now-Senator Richard Blumenthal. She has reworked her campaign this time around, focusing on her personal story instead of her business career. At the time of writing, Linda McMahon was beating Chris Shays 75% to 25%.
