Governor Buddy Roemer Suspends Presidency Bid


Governor Buddy Roemer has suspended his bid for the Presidency. The Independent said that he is dropping out because ballot access in all 50 states is impossible. Governor Roemer was the top announced candidate on Americans Elect, but he was not able to get enough support. No candidate got enough support, so Americans Elect shut down. Governor Buddy Roemer said his campaign was speaking with supporters on how to move on, which was the same thing Americans Elect did before shutting down. Governor Buddy Roemer was also seeking the nomination of the Reform Party and the Modern Whig Party. Governor Roemer’s campaign was known for trying to get the money out, limiting donations to $100. Governor Roemer had been seeking the Republican nomination, but switched party affiliation after failing to gain any traction.
