Today, Speaker of the House John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, endorsed Mitt Romney. Speaker Boehner, who is one of the most powerful Republicans in the country, backed Mitt Romney saying there is not a doubt he will become the nominee. This tone has been used by many in the party. John Boehner has withheld from endorsing any candidate because he will be the chairman of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor endorsed Mitt Romney shortly before his home state, Virginia voted. Mitt Romney won both Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Cantor’s states, and Minority Leader McConnell’s home state, Kentucky, will vote on May 22.
