Could Mitt Romney’s Platform Be Crumbling?

The latest polls have Rick Santorum soaring in several states. While results released today show that if the election would be held today, Mitt Romney would lose by five percentage points to President Obama. Even in Michigan, where Mitt’s father was an auto executive and governor, he is losing to Rick Santorum by seven percentage points. This whole election season, Mitt Romney campaigned on electability. Now, that seems to be crumbling. At one point, Mitt Romney was losing to President Obama by nine percentage points, while Rick Santorum was beating President Obama by one point. It seems that Mitt Romney may not be electable. Part of this is because of the economy. When the economy was bad, Mitt Romney was seen as someone who could fix it. Now that the economy is improving, he is not needed.
