Former Veep Gore Has New Role

Former Vice President Al Gore will be hosting Current TV’s debate coverage. Al Gore also hosted the network’s coverage of the convention. Al Gore started the network in 2005 with Joel Hyatt, and has been becoming more liberal with the retooling of the network. The network was originally started as a user-driven network, however Current failed to capitalize on social media, and has since changed to being an all-day liberal network. The network is also having a ratings problem, almost losing its spot on Time Warner Cable. The network has also added new personalities, such as Joy Behar and Cenk Uygur, and had some controversy when they brought on Keith Olbermann.
