The Democratic National Convention is beginning tomorrow. Many Democrats are already in Charlotte, such as First Lady Michelle Obama. On Tuesday, Michelle Obama will be speaking in addition to the keynote speaker Mayor Julian Castro of San Antonio. Former Speaker Jimmy Carter will also be speaking via video. President Obama and Vice President Biden will be accepting their nominations on Thursday. Former President Bill Clinton will also be speaking. It was recently announced that former Governor Charlie Crist would be speaking at the convention. Governor Crist is a former Republican, and endorsed President Obama.
While many parts of the convention have been confirmed, many parts have not. Unlike the Republicans, organizers have not released a schedule for the convention. The only speakers that we know the schedule of are President Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, First Lady Michelle Obama, Mayor Julian Castro, Vice President Biden, and President Obama.
