The Senator, who was re-elected in 2012, said he would sign his name to a petition by the Senators to declare same-sex marriage constitutional. It is unclear whether he is referring to the amicus brief or another petition. In the last few weeks, many Senators, especially Democrats, have come out in favor of same-sex marriage.
