Speaker Paul Ryan to Appear on Fox News Town Hall

fourth estate newSpeaker Paul Ryan (R) will join Fox News’s Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum for a town hall on Tuesday centering on tax reform. The town hall will be held in Herndon, Virginia (roughly half an hour from Washington, D.C.).

The town hall does have some unusual scheduling as it will start at 6:30 and go until 7:30. As a result, there will be a 30 minute version of Special Report from 6:00 to 6:30 before the town hall and then following the special, a 30 minute edition of The Story.

Fox News has not done many town halls, instead leaving it mainly to CNN which has extensively utilized the format throughout the year. Fox News is billing theirs as America’s Election Headquarters’ Town Hall, borrowing their election branding. However, Speaker Ryan is no stranger to the town hall format, appearing on several of CNN’s town halls.

Speaker Ryan has been aggressively promoting tax reform, a key priority of his, through several television and radio appearances.
