Al Jazeera America Schedules Its Final Documentary


fourth estate newAl Jazeera America has announced an original four-part series that will focus on the Obama Administration. The Limits of Hope: Inside Obama’s White House will air on April 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th at 10 PM. The documentary will be the final one on Al Jazeera America before the network shuts down on April 12th.

The four episodes will focus on President Obama’s first 100 days and the economic crisis, the fight over Obamacare and the Tea Party movement, crises in the Middle East, and domestic issues. The domestic issues episode will look at immigration, race, and gun control.

The Limits of Hope will have interviews with former Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geithner, advisors David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett, former Speaker of the House and current Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, former Chief of Staff and current Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and former CIA Director Leon Panetta among others. President Obama will be interviewed for the special.

Frank Sesno, a former White House correspondent and Washington Bureau Chief for CNN, is narrating the documentary.

The special is being co-produced by BBC and will air around the world on BBC2.
