The Secret Service, after meeting with Ted Nugent, cleared him of any wrongdoing. The investigation is due to a comment made by Ted Nugent at a NRA event, where he said that if President Obama got re-elected, it would be dead or in jail. Many have said that the in jail part meant that he intended to assassinate President Obama. Part of the controversy also stems from Ted Nugent being a supporter for Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney’s campaign said that offensive talk is bad from any side. Ted Nugent met with the Secret Service agents in Oklahoma where he was touring. Although the controversy may not be over, a CNN Opinion post by LZ Granderson, calling for Nugent’s arrest, had over 1,400 comments.
