TKNN Reports for October 13, 2012

Hello, and welcome to TKNN Reports.

So, most agree that Arizona is no longer the toss-up it once could have been. Polling from within the state shows Mitt Romney ahead by double-digit margins. However, a poll from Behavior Research Center has the President ahead by two points. Many polls do not equally proportionate the amount of Latinos in a state. For example, many polls showed Sharron Angle beating Leader Reid in 2010, however with the support of Latinos he won.

Now, we turn to celebrities and the campaign trail. As people are getting bored with the usual four of Biden, Obama, Romney, and Ryan, celebrities are coming into stump for their candidates. The Boss, Bruce Springsteen himself, is coming out to stump for the President with Bill Clinton. Although, sometimes celebrities need to come out for statewide candidates. Yesterday, the Duggar family announced it will be supporting Rep. Todd Akin. Rep. Akin is trying to unseat Sen. Claire McCaskill, but he hit hit a snag when he said “legitimate rape” doesn’t cause pregnancy.

Also, news came in that the Obama campaign set a new record of having 4 million individual people donating to the campaign. That means that roughly 1 in 75 Americans have donated to the President’s election.

Well, thank you for joining us on TKNN Reports, please join us again next week.
