Political Jungle for August 29, 2012

Tonight, Rep. Paul Ryan accepted his party’s nomination as the vice presidential nominee. This is Political Jungle, and we’re just getting started.

Tonight, GOP heavyweights were speaking, such as Senator John McCain, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and former Governor Tim Pawlenty. Governor Pawlenty and Secretary Rice were both said to be potential running mates for Mitt Romney. However, as we know now, Mitt Romney chose Rep. Paul Ryan as his running mate. Rep. Paul Ryan accepted his party’s nomination, giving a personal biography, and talking about the difference between the Romney-Ryan ticket and the Obama Administration. There were several times when Rep. Ryan got thunderous applause.

Former Presidents George H.W. and W. Bush spoke in pre-recorded message at the convention. They talked about memories of their presidencies, and said they were sure that Mitt Romney would be a great President, and they were committed to getting him elected.
Well, thank you for joining us on Political Jungle. I will be back in the Daily Briefing chair tomorrow, and of course there will be another Political Jungle.
