Every year, National Day of Service is held the weekend closest to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Under the Obama Administration, the day has been pushed more, and the First Family has taken part. Today, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama did some painting at a local school. The President has also has attempted to tie the Day of Service to the festivities.
