First Lady Michelle Obama turned 49 years old on Thursday. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney refused to tell reporters what the First Family was doing, in order to keep the surprises just that. On her birthday, a new Twitter account was started, @FLOTUS, and the Twitter account is the official one for the First Lady’s office. The Twitter account has been in the news for other reasons, too. A photo was posted on the Twitter account, which showed First Lady Michelle’s new hairdo, bangs. Immediately, the photo started trending, and spread around the Internet. It is unknown whether the new hairdo was for her birthday or the inauguration.
