On Thursday morning, Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs tweeted out the home address and phone number of Jessica Leeds, a woman who has accused Donald Trump of sexual assault. Dobbs publicized the information to his 792,000 Twitter followers by linking to an article from a conservative news website that listed Leeds’s address and phone number. He also purportedly quoted a tweet from one of Donald Trump’s supporters that directly listed Leeds’s information. Dobb’s original tweet was retweeted over 800 times before it was deleted.
Dobbs tweeted out an apology tweet, reading, “My Retweet, My Mistake, My Apology to Jessica Leeds.” The tweet is accompanied by the hashtags #https://t.co/iOP6MJvCEx #MAGA and #Dobbs. Embedded in the tweet is a link to a Politico article reporting on the story.
Leeds claims that Mr. Trump sexually assaulted her many years ago. “He was like an octopus,” Leeds stated. Leeds’s claims have angered many Trump supporters, leading some people to worry that her safety has been compromised now that her information has been released.
