On Monday, Donald Trump tweeted a link to a freshly posted petition on Change.Org that calls on CNN to fire contributor Ana Navaro. Navaro serves as a Republican strategist for the network and is vocal about her support for Jeb Bush.
At the time of writing, the petition had just over 400 signatures. This is despite the tweet gaining over 800 retweets and being shared to Trump’s 4.7 million followers.
The petition states that if Navaro is not fired, CNN will have to deal with “civil disobedience at various CNN bureaus and orchestrated verbal confrontation with CNN on-air talent.”
Former Trump advisor Roger Stone has also criticized Navarro.
Navarro responded to the petition on Twitter, “Trump attacks me yet again. Oh so presidential. I’m really bored by it already. But chuckle knowing I irritate him.”
