Donald Trump to Host Saturday Night Live

NBC has announced that Republican frontrunner Donald Trump will host Saturday Night Live on November 7.

This is Trump’s first appearance on the weekly sketch program since 2004. At the time, he was promoting his NBC show, The Apprentice. Trump and NBC had a business relationship until Trump announced his presidential campaign and likened Hispanic immigrants to rapists. NBC cut its relationship with Trump, but has continued a relationship with his children.

Trump had said on CNN’s New Day that he was looking to go on SNL. He did not appear on the season premiere, although Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did. Presidential candidates regularly appear on SNL, some as candidates, others as nominees.
