In the latest poll from the Boston Globe, Democratic Representative Ed Markey continues to lead Republican businessman and former Navy Seal Gabriel Gomez. However, this poll extends Markey’s lead into the double digits with just over a week to go. The poll has Markey leading Gomez eleven percentage points, 54% to 43%. The poll was among likely voters. The poll is not good news for Gomez, who was down by only seven points in the last poll, which is a hard feat in such a blue state. However the news is not all bitter for Gomez, he leads Markey among the independent voters, and is more liked.
