Indiana Senate Race Continued To Be Tied

The latest Rasmussen polling shows that the Indiana Senate race is still close. In one of the first polls done since Senator Dick Lugar was defeated, Republican Richard Mourdock and Democrat Joe Donnelly tied at 42%.  Senator Dick Lugar was the longest-serving Republican Senator until he got defeated by the Tea Party backed-Richard Mourdock earlier this month. Many say that Sen. Lugar’s bipartisanship led to his defeat, and Richard Mourdock’s idea of bipartisanship is when Democrats agree, unconditionally, to what Republicans want. The election also shows that the Senate is becoming increasingly polarized; Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine decided to retire because of the lack of bipartisanship in the upper chamber.
