A few major election stories developed today. These can/will change the landscape of the nomination.

Mitt Romney Did Not Make History

When Mitt Romney won in New Hampshire, he noted how he made history. He was the first Republican to win both Iowa and New Hampshire. However, history has changed. We found out today that Rick Santorum, not Mitt Romney, won Iowa. His lead was more than 8 votes, Rick won by 34 votes.

Rick Perry Drops Out, Endorses Newt Gingrich

Today Rick Perry announced that he will be suspending his campaign for president. During that same press conference, he announced that he will be endorsing Newt Gingrich for president. Rick Perry’s withdrawal could allow support to coalesce around one anti-Romney.

Gingrich Ex-Wife Speaks Out

In an interview with ABC News and Washington Post, the ex-wife of Speaker Gingrich says that he asked for an “open marriage.” Newt Gingrich has denied the claims and has used his daughters to combat the allegations. The interview is being shown as the South Carolina primary is days away.

Herman Cain Makes His “Unconventional” Endorsement

Herman Cain today announced who he is endorsing for the election. He has said that it would be unconventional, and yes it was. Herman Cain announced that he is endorsing the American people. He says that it is important that people remain in the political process.
