The House Votes To Repeal Obamacare

The Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted to repeal President Obama’s Affordable Care Act. The Repeal of Obamacare Act, H.R. 6079, was passed in reaction to the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Obamacare. Before the decision, Speaker Boehner said that whatever the Court did not get rid of, the House would vote to repeal. That has been taken care of. This the thirty-third time that the House of Representatives has voted to repeal Obamacare. Democrats tried to argue that the vote was worthless because the bill would be dead-on-arrival in the Democratic-controlled Senate. The vote was passed by a 244-185 vote, with all Republicans and five Democrats voted in support.
