S.E. Cupp tweeted on Thursday that her HLN show, S.E. Cupp Unfiltered, will move to CNN and air on Saturday nights.
Cupp’s last show will be tomorrow and taped programming will take her 5 PM ET timeslot on HLN.
CNN has not publicly announced the move, but it was announced internally on Thursday and Cupp tweeted about it.
Cupp will join David Axelrod’s The Axe Files and fellow former Crossfire host Van Jones’s Van Jones Show. Each of those shows air every other week, but Unfiltered will air weekly.
CNN has been making an effort to build up their Saturday programming. Sunday programming is typically filled with new episodes of CNN Original Series and Saturday was previously left with reruns.
On HLN, Cupp’s show was a ratings dud, but it was an avenue that constantly featured conservative and libertarian voices. It also brought in new voices to CNN, including T. Becket Adams and Erin Gloria Ryan.
