Chris Wallace Re-Signs with Fox News


fourth estate newFox News Sunday host Chris Wallace has re-signed with Fox News in a multiyear contract that ensures he will cover the 2020 presidential election for the network.

“After almost 14 years as the anchor of Fox News Sunday, I think I am starting to get the hang of it. Rupert Murdoch has asked me to stay on the beat well past the 2020 election. I am honored by his confidence, and excited to keep reporting as part of the FOX News team,” Wallace said in a statement.

“Throughout his 50-plus years in broadcast journalism, Chris has established himself as one of the most esteemed journalists of our time. We are delighted to have him continue informing our viewers with his hard-hitting interviews and tough-minded reporting for years to come,” Fox News president of news Jay Wallace said in a statement.

Fox News Sunday airs first on Fox broadcast stations across the country and then airs in the afternoon and during primetime on Fox News.

Wallace has hosted the program since 2003 and is one of Fox News’s most well-known personalities. He is the son of the late CBS News personality Mike Wallace and previously hosted NBC’s Meet the Press, making him the only person to have hosted two major Sunday public affairs programs. He also co-moderated Fox News’s 2016 presidential primary debates and was the moderator of the third and final general election debate. He was the first Fox News anchor to moderate a presidential debate.
