Michaela Pereira will make her return to morning television on July 11. The new show is called Michaela (although it is styled as MichaeLA to stylize the West Coast setting) and air from 10 AM to 1 PM.
HLN is touting the fact that Michaela will be “the only national morning news program broadcast from Los Angeles.” It will air after Morning Express with Robin Meade and takes away two hours of Morning Express and one hour from The Daily Share.
The show comes as HLN seeks to reboot itself yet again and refocus on its news roots. Later this year, Erica Hill will return to the network with a new daytime news program.
The show will also reunite Periera with her former executive producer of many years, Scott Warren. Warren worked with Pereira at KTLA and TechTV.
