Amid reports that he will join NBC Universal as head of the News Group, Andrew Lark left the Broadcasting Board of Governors, where he served as CEO and Director. The Broadcasting Board of Directors is a government newsgathering agency that primarily works overseas. The group also oversees the government’s news agencies, including Voice of America. In a statement, the BBG said, “Andrew Lack was a strong choice to serve as the BBG’s first CEO and Director. He has a passion for our work, appreciation for our history and understanding of the importance of our mission.”
According to the BBG, Director of Global Operations André Mendes will serve as interim CEO until a new one is found.
