Multiple sources are telling TKNN that Sen. John Kerry will be nominated by President Obama to be Secretary of State. One source has even spoken to the Democratic Senator. It was widely rumored that President Obama would nominate the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, rumors that have only intensified since UN Ambassador Susan Rice withdrew her name for consideration. It does have some political irony. In his memoir, Promises to Keep, then-Senator Biden said that if Sen. Kerry won in 2004, he would have nominated Biden to be Secretary of State.
