Several sources are saying that banking crusader will be on the committee, giving her more power and influence over the banks. Wall Street had been lobbying for her to not be on the committee, fearing her regulation. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was Warren’s brainchild, and Wall Street successfully kept her from being the director. However, Warren ran for the Senate, where she could get more involved with the banking industry. In the most expensive Senate race in the country, Warren defeated Sen. Scott Brown.
