As President Donald Trump’s war on Google entered its second day, the President tweeted from his account a video that (falsely) claimed Google’s homepage promoted President Barack Obama’s State of the Union addresses but ditched the tradition for him.

The issue, however, is that that charge is not true. Google explained in a statement that Trump’s 2017 speech before Congress is not considered a State of the Union so it was not billed as such. President Obama’s 2009 address was also not promoted for this reason.
An archived copy of Google’s homepage from during the 2018 State of the Union address is also publicly available and proves that Trump’s claim is incorrect.
The incorrect tweet was also retweeted by the official White House account.
