State Department Plans to Resume Briefings Tomorrow

The State Department is planning on holding a press conference on Tuesday. The press conference will be their first since January 19, then-President Barack Obama’s last full day in office.

Acting spokesman Mark Toner said in February that briefings would resume on March 6. However, Monday’s briefing was cancelled as a result of President Donald Trump signing his travel ban executive order.

TKNN asked why there was a lack of briefings, but the Department responded with a statement about Tuesday’s briefing.

Toner will lead Tuesday’s briefing. Bloomberg reported that Fox News reporter Heather Nauert has signed on to be State Department spokeswoman, but that has not been announced yet.
