NBC Cuts Ties with Donald Trump

NBC has announced that they are ending their business relationship with Donald Trump. The cause was Trump’s recent comments regarding Latinos that he made. During his announcement speech for his presidential run, Trump said of Mexican immigrants, “They are bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”

The pressure has increased on NBC to dump Trump over the past few days. A petition was started on Change.org calling on NBC to cancel Miss USA, Miss Universe, and the Apprentice. The petition hit 200,000 signatures by Monday morning and has continued to grow.

Miss USA and Miss Universe will no longer air on NBC. However, the Apprentice may continue on without Trump. The Apprentice is licensed from United Artists Media Group and NBC has indicated they would like to see the show continue.

TKNN has contacted NBC to see if the decision applies to the other Trumps, including Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. All three have had a business relationship with NBC.
