Sen. McCain Responds to Todd’s Hot Mic

20140620-234830-85710519.jpgYesterday, NBC’s Chuck Todd, who also hosts a show on the liberal MSNBC, and Fox’s Ed Henry were caught with a hot mic mocking Sen. John McCain. David Petraeus, who Sen. McCain had proposed sending back to Iraq, had come out against further military action in Iraq and said that the United States Army cannot be the Air Force for the Iraqi government. Todd and Henry then joked that someone should check on McCain, with Todd making reference to McCain’s heart. Brian Rogers, Communications Director for Sen. McCain, then issued the following statement:

“It’s not like further evidence was needed to prove the liberal bias at MSNBC and in the mainstream media, but Chuck Todd’s ‘hot mic’ comments asking if anyone ‘checked on’ Senator McCain for ‘heart palpitations’ over General Petraeus’ remarks on Iraq show just how quickly the media will try and discredit Senator McCain and anyone who questions President Obama – based on just one report of Petraeus’ statements,” said Brian Rogers. “It should be embarrassing for MSNBC – but likely isn’t – to see that in another interview just one day later General Petraeus said he would support targeted strikes against the ISIS terrorist army in Iraq, which is what Senator McCain has advocated – so no ‘heart palpitations’ necessary.”
