A deal has been reached to avert the fiscal cliff. The proposal would include raising taxes on those making over $400,000, while making tax cuts underneath the threshold permanent. The deal would also keep the estate tax threshold at $5 million, but also reportedly tying it to inflation. Unemployment benefits would also be extended, while sequestration would be put off for two months.
