MSNBC has announced its State of the Union coverage plans for Tuesday’s address. Main coverage will be led by Rachel Maddow and Brian Williams, a now-usual pairing that visibly represents MSNBC’s liberal-straight news identity divide.

MSNBC’s main coverage will begin at 8 PM ET and air from Rockefeller Center in New York City (CNN and Fox News are both airing their coverage from Washington, D.C.). Williams and Maddow will be joined by Chris Matthews, Chris Hayes, Lawrence O’Donnell, Nicolle Wallace, Joy Reid, Steve Schmidt, and Eugene Robinson. NBC News reporters at the Capitol and White House will also contribute reporting.

MSNBC will go late in the night as Chris Matthews will pick up live coverage at 12 PM ET and then Steve Kornacki will take over at 1 AM ET.

The day will kick off with Morning Joe from New York City. Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Willie Geist will be joined by Gov. John Kasich (R-OH), Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) among others.
