Senator Daniel Inouye has died at the age of 88. Sen. Inouye was the President pro Tempore, and served as Senator from 1963. This new Congress would have marked his fiftieth year serving. The Senator was in the hospital for respiratory problems, but said he would make a quick recovery. Unfortunately, the problems took a turn for the worst.
