Anthony Weiner is back on Twitter. After resigning from Congress two years ago for sending lewd pictures of himself on the site, he has a new handle and a new profile picture. The previous account, @RepWeiner, had what appeared to be an old yearbook photo. The new account, @AnthonyWeiner, features a far more recent picture. Even though this is his first day, Weiner already has 6,000 followers. However, this is down from his other account’s 67,000 followers. Getting back on Twitter could be the first step in a political comeback for the former congressman. He has talked in the past about running for Mayor of New York City. A poll released awhile back showed him in second place behind City Speaker Christine Quinn.
