Vladimir Putin Cancels Russian Government Vacations


As a result of Russia’s recent economic woes, President Vladimir Putin has cancelled the holiday vacations that Russian government officials are promised. Officials are entitled to a vacation from January 1 to January 12, which includes New Year’s Day and Christmas. Russians celebrate Christmas on January 7 because of the Julian Calendar.
