White House Press Corps Stands Together

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is not necessarily known for giving straight answers to every reporter’s question during the press briefings and oftentimes calls on other reporters in order to avoid follow-up questions. However on Wednesday, Jordan Fabian, a reporter for The Hill, took a different approach: deferring back to NBC News correspondent Hallie Jackson so she could get her question answered.

Jackson asked about President Donald Trump’s comments about Russian meddling in the election and then Sanders said, “I’m not answering any more questions.” She then turned to Fabian who said, “She asked for a follow-up” until Sanders responded to Jackson’s question. Fabian then got to ask his question.

Jackson then took to Twitter to thank Fabian and he called it “some professional courtesy.” Whether this habit of standing together to get questions answered will continue remains to be seen.
