Fox News Dominates Supreme Court Ratings

About 25 million Americans tuned into the broadcast networks and the main three cable news channels to watch President Donald Trump announce his nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court seat being vacated by Justice Anthony Kennedy. Fox News was the overwhelming ratings winner with the most total winners and the number one show on television Monday night, Hannity.

While Fox News won in total viewers, ABC won in the 25-54 age demographic, the grouping most prized by advertisers.

Fox News’s win is also significant because they had more total viewers than the broadcast networks, a relative rarity in television.

Among the cable news channels, had the most viewers in the 25-54 (1,345,000) and total (6,644,000) while CNN was second in the demo (486,000) and third in total viewers (1,587,000) and MSNBC was third in the demo (370,000) and second in total viewers (2,053,000).
