The Young Turks Adds to Staff


fourth estate newThe Young Turks, the online progressive commentary and news source, added three new new employees to their news side on Thursday. International Business Times reporter David Sirota and former MSNBC host Dylan Ratigan have joined the outlet as commentators and Jonathan Larsen has come on as managing editor. Sirota will continue to contribute to IBTimes. Larsen previously worked for Al Jazeera America and then started The F***ing News, an online news source.

The hires came as a result of The Young Turk’s online fundraising drive with the intention of hiring reporters and commentators. The drive has a $2 million goal and has so far raised $1.5 million.

The Young Turks has been adding to its news ranks recently after previously being known for progressive analysis and punditry. TYT added on Jordan Chariton and Nomiki Konst as investigative reporters.
